Over 10,000 vehicles were apprehended nationwide in June under the “No Registration, No Travel” policy of the Land Transportation Office .In a statement on Monday, LTO said of the 10,461 vehicles apprehended last month, 9,212 were issued with traffic violation tickets while 1,601 vehicles were impounded.Motorcycles were the most apprehended vehicles with 6,824, followed by tricycles , private vans , private sedans , and trucks .
The LTO earlier imposed that a court order must be presented before the release of impounded colorum vehicles, despite the payment of fines by the registered owner.
