Residents near the scene reported screaming and shouting and one local posted an image of the scene on social media and claims to have counted around 26 police vehicles.

Pro-Palestine protesters have been arrested at Glasgow's Govan Cross after leaving the Thales picket line earlier this afternoon .

As earlier reported, around 26 police cars raced to Govan Cross, near the Subway and shopping centre, as shoppers looked on at a large number of officers swarming the area. The demonstrators, made up of workers from a range of professions and unions, blocked entrances to the site holding up banners that read "Stop Arming Israel" and "This Factory Arms Genocide".
