McCutchen then drives his car off the main freeway and onto a ramp, before driving up onto a bridge directly over the crash, with flames, crushed cars and explosions visible.Harrowing photos taken by news photographers show multiple vehicles consumed by a huge fireball, with law enforcement saying ‘multiple’ people had been killed in the smash.It is reported to have involved at least 15 cars, as well as several trucks, with 10 injured people taking to hospital.
The driver of the speeding truck filmed by McCutchen is believed to have been responsible for the crash, and is reported to have been injured.
