Woman and four children die in 'catastrophic' Qld crash | Sky News Australia

A mother, her three children and another child have died after a car and truck collided near Kingaroy in Queensland. The vehicles collided on the Bunya Highway at Kumbia, north of Toowoomba, and burst into flames about 7.15pm on Monday.

One child was flown to Queensland Children's Hospital in Brisbane but could not be saved. The woman and three other children died on impact. Police attending the scene described the incident as ‘catastrophic’ and ‘one of the worst accidents I’ve ever seen’. Police say the family killed in the crash comes from Eli Waters in Hervey Bay.

This awful tragedy is yet another reminder that lives can be lost in the blink of an eye. Hopefully, in the not too distant future drivers will know how much traffic is on the road with dots on their GPS so that they will not overtake until safe to do so.
