Cape Town – Western Cape police on Monday arrested a man for possession of hijacked and stolen vehicles.The members were busy with patrols when they received information about vehicles that were being stripped at St Barnet crescent in Steenberg, Cape Town.
Upon their arrival at the address, they found the yard guarded by vicious dogs inside and as a result, had to enter from the back and request to check the vehicles. Upon investigating, it was discovered that the two Toyota bakkies and one Toyota Corolla were hijacked in Pineland, Rondebosch and Kuilsrivier this month.
Another Toyota Corolla was reported stolen in Table view. Flying squad members also discovered engines from five stolen vehicles.
