What's the difference between talking on a hands-free or speaking to someone next to you, or, more dangerously, trying to control a car-full of children when you're driving? Also, it's okay to open a fag packet, take one out, light it, but not okay to eat an apple. Bonkers!
How about banning music playing in cars, conversations with other passengers, no lone driver allowed to have children in the car due to distractions. I’m a huge supporter against texting etc in cars but this would be too far.
Total waste of time, how about you crack down on the idiots not using hands free?
And smoking whist driving? How about using auxiliary controls? Currently the law is any handheld device that is causing distraction.. Making that change doesn't really make sense.
These MPs no doubt have chauffeurs...ban children, ban playing eye spy, ban road signs, ban cars! 🙄
At the same time they will legislate to remove: 1. Radio/CD players 2. SatNav 3. Passengers ... especially mothers-in-law and children! I suppose most of these MPs are chauffeur driven or have taxis at our expense?

Next move, banning 'thought'. Precessing thoughts while driving can have an adverse effect on your reflexes. Also ban blinking, as anything can happen in that split second that you are not looking at the road. Cell towers affect neurokinetic signals so ban that too.
Next they’ll require all new cars to have sealed off cockpits for the driver so they can’t interact with anyone else in the car.
Stop banning things, BorisJohnson and reverse the trend.
If that’s the case you should, logically, wish to ban all conversation between driver & passengers in the car which, quite frankly, is crazy!
They will soon ban us from talking to the other passengers in the car 🙄.
IME - children shouting and screaming in the back is more dangerous lol! Seriously tho, to be able to use hands free is no worse than a passenger or a sat nav!
