Toyota has seen a 2,000% rise in demand for parts for models that contain precious metals

An explosion in thefts of catalytic converters from hybrid cars has left hundreds of owners of the vehicles unable to drive them because of a shortage of replacement parts, the Guardian has learned.

Had mine taken off MCRMetrolink car park 3 weeks ago & only get a replacement car off DirectLine_UK until the end of this month which to be fair to them they kindly extended by a week and ToyotaUK still can’t give me a date when the part can come.

Another reason to buy fully Electric Vehicle !

Yep plenty of platinum and palladium in them and expensive metals.
