More than $220,000 worth of stolen goods has been uncovered at the southeast Queensland home of a man who police allege is behind a series of burglaries. The 21-year-old man’s home in Slacks Creek, south of Brisbane, was raided on Thursday as police investigated the theft of two cars.
Police uncover alleged stolen goods haul. He was accused of stealing a Honda Accord from an Underwood home on April 16, as well as a Volvo XC90 from a Lota home the following day. The raid allegedly uncovered stolen items including clothing and wallets. The items — totalling more than $220,000 — have been matched to 12 property crime reports across Brisbane’s south and Logan. Information provided by the public was crucial in nabbing the alleged thief, police say.
