Two people were killed in a head-on crash in Philadelphia's Hunting Park section early Tuesday morning. The other vehicle flipped upside down, ejecting the second victim.
In surveillance video obtained by Action News, you can see what police say is a speeding Mercury Milan traveling northbound on Broad Street as it approaches West Hunting Park. It then swerves into the southbound lanes, hitting a RAV 4."The Mercury Milan was traveling at a very high rate of speed -- highway speeds -- on Broad Street. So speed certainly played a factor here," said Philadelphia Police Capt. Robert Heinzroth.
Police are not releasing the names of the deceased or details of the investigation. No other injuries were reported. The cameras have helped along Roosevelt Boulevard and officials are hoping it will cut down on crashes on Broad Street,
