Ken Block’s 2006 Mercedes-Benz SEMA Car Kicked Off the Modern Era of Monochrome

Before he was in the WRC, before X Games rally cross, and before the Gymkhana videos, the late Ken Block was just an up-and-coming gentleman rally driver more known for profiting handsomely off the skate brand DC Shoes, which he co-founded. But around 2005, Block had an idea, reportedly inspired by an off-the-rack racing helmet. With an assist from the renowned automotive atelier Ai Design, his vision transformed what cars looked like for years to come.
