Police received 55 reports of a stolen vehicle in North York between May 5 and May 11. That’s up from 35 reported for the previous week. Reports of auto thefts across the entire city climbed by 25 to 167 . There have been 2,854 vehicles reported stolen in Toronto so far this year — up 55 per cent compared to the same period in 2021.Two auto thefts were reported at the following locations: a driveway around Abbeywood Trail and Barrydale Crescent on Friday, May 6 at about 9 p.m.

; a curbside near Forest Manor Road and George Henry Boulevard on Tuesday, May 10 at around 8 a.m.; and a curbside around Forest Manor Road and George Henry Boulevard on Tuesday, May 10 at around 4 p.m. A total of 24 vehicles have been reported stolen in Henry Farm in 2022.One auto theft was reported at the following location: a driveway around Apted Avenue and Riverside Drive on Monday, May 9 at about 8 a.m. A total of 45 vehicles have been reported stolen in Humber Summit in 2022.
