Police received 32 reports of a stolen vehicle in Toronto City Centre between May 5 and May 11. That’s down from 37 reported for the previous week. Reports of auto thefts across the entire city climbed by 25 to 167 . There have been 2,854 vehicles reported stolen in Toronto so far this year — up 55 per cent compared to the same period in 2021.Two auto thefts were reported at the following locations: a curbside around Bay Street and Hagerman Street on Friday, May 6 at about 1 p.m.
A total of 34 vehicles have been reported stolen in High Park-Swansea in 2022.One auto theft was reported at the following location: a curbside near Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue on Saturday, May 7 at around 4 p.m. A total of nine vehicles have been reported stolen in Kensington-Chinatown in 2022.One auto theft was reported at the following location: a curbside near Gladstone Avenue and Stonehouse Crescent on Tuesday, May 10 at about 10 p.m.
