SINGAPORE - OCBC Bank and the National University of Singapore will jointly conduct a new study later this year to look into what would make Singaporeans switch from conventional petrol or diesel vehicles to electric vehicles .
The study will dig deep into factors such as long-term costs of EV ownership and the effects of carbon emissions from conventional vehicles to the earth's climate. He added:"The EV market is very fluid, information frictions are substantial and there is little carbon literacy. The choice of going electric is super complex.
And the charging speed need to pick up. Already there's 800v or battery swap ev models.. battery swapping is orderly and highly effective for small island like us.
Besides the coe.. It's a general lack of choices.. there's no market in sg for ev makers to bring here..in China.. you cannot count the number of ev models every month that are launched just too many.. at insane value for money prices. Not everyone wants a Tesla.
Just make more charging stations. No point if Ev becomes cheap. If the majority of the people who live in HDB cannot have easy access to charging stations, we will never switch.
