'Passengers may see an increase in activity and a significant number of emergency vehicles'

Passengers arriving at Belfast International Airport today are being urged not to be alarmed by the 'significant presence' of emergency service vehicles.

The airport has alerted the public that they are carrying out a training exercise to practice and plan in the event of an emergency incident.Read more:Large GP practice at risk of closure after operators hand back contract In a statement, Belfast International Airport said: "The exercise will be carried out in areas of our airfield and within the terminal and allow the airport’s teams and partners to practice and plan for an incident."Passengers may see an increase in activity and a significant number of emergency vehicles and personnel as part of the exercise but there is no need for members of the public to be alarmed.
