The latest vehicle recalls include more than 14,000 BMW EVs. 🚙

BMW is recalling 14,086 of its hybrid electric vehicles over a software glitch that can result in the interruption of electrical power while the vehicle is running,2022-23 iX xDrive 40, xDrive 50 and M60: Approximately 5,389 vehicles affected2023-23 BMW i7 xDrive60: Approximately 38 vehicles affected

Owners of impacted vehicles will be notified on Feb. 10, BMW told NHTSA. The vehicles can be taken to a BMW dealer to have the software updated for free. General Motors put 2,108 2022-2023 Chevrolet Malibu cars under recall because the front impact bar may be defective, and fail to trigger the crash sensors that deploy safety features during a collision,GM ordered deliveries of the vehicle to cease on Dec. 9, and notified dealers about the recall on Dec. 14. Owners will be notified on Feb.

Owners can take their car to a dealer for inspection. If an incomplete weld is found, GM will offer to repurchase the vehicle. Canadian RV manufacturer Triple E is recalling 341 vehicles because of a defect that can cause a short circuit and ignite a fire,The vehicles under recall are the 2021-2022 Unity U24IB and the 2021-2023 Unity U24TB.

The vehicles have a battery disconnect switch located near the fridge cabinet area. The switch terminal posts are “too close” to the cabinet’s metal frame, according to the report. The posts can contact the frame and cause a short circuit, and blow a 100 amp fuse, the NHTSA report said. According to the report, owners and dealers will be notified of the recall on Jan. 25. The remedy involves adding protective rubber covers to the terminal posts of the battery disconnect switch.
