A former carwash employee confirmed the arrival of a"suspicious" red BMW vehicle at an uMzimkhulu establishment a few hours before former ANC Youth League secretary-general Sindiso Magaqa was gunned down.At the time of his killing, he was a councillor serving in the executive council of the uMzimkhulu local municipality.
Four men - Sibonelo Myeza, Mbulelo Mpofana, Mlungisi Ncalane and Sibusiso Ncengwa – have been charged for the murder. On Wednesday, a witness, who was 18 years old at the time of the incident and asked not to be identified, gave evidence in the trial at the KwaZulu-Natal High Court in Pietermaritzburg.He said two men, driving in a red BMW, arrived at the car wash between 14:30 and 15:00 on 13 July 2017.The witness described the driver of the BMW as"an African male, dark in complexion, with broad shoulders and a round nose".
