The woman was first seen around 3:30 p.m. on Friday after a man reported to 911 that his car was being stolen. Police said the victim could be heard warning the woman not to hit him with an object that was later found to be an ax. The woman hit the victim with the ax and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.
The first victim’s vehicle was found in the 1800 block of South Market Street. A description of an aggravated assault/robbery suspect matching the woman’s description was dispatched while officers were in the process of recovering the first victim’s vehicle. The injured driver received multiple stab wounds to his chest and arms. TFD took him to a local hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.Authorities believe the woman contacted the Uber driver after he dropped off a client near where the stolen vehicle was recovered and he then drove her to the Ruston Way location. The Uber driver and the suspect did not know each other, according to police.
